With the ability to fine tune your kite’s trim using an easily reached and adjusted control knob. Twist in small quarter turn increments to add power, bump or nudge to depower. This easy to use system is ideal for any rider and ensures you have ‘hands on’ control when depowering the kite.
R3 Sidwinder: Total Trim Control with One Knob
Twist the Sidewinder to add power, bump or nudge to depower and never need to take your hands off the bar. Easier than ever to adjust your trim in even the most gusty or overpowered conditions.
Quarter turns deliver 1cm of trim, five full rotations sheets in 21cm of direct 1:1 trim adjustment! Instantly depower your kite with with a swift downstroke motion on the knob or bump for incremental depower.
With only one moving part, the simple open design allows rapid flushing of debris, easy inspection of all parts and simple maintenance if required.
With your trim control always within reach, trim adjustment become intuitive and can be made while riding without needing to take your focus off the water ahead.
Line Payout System
The tensioned rear lines ensure clean payout even with slack back line. This feature is crucial when rigging on the beach, allowing you to easily depower your kite before launch, even with no tension on the back lines.
Roto Re-Ride System and Roto Hub
By manually rotating the Hub, the entire trim unit rotates up the Roto bit allowing you to manually untwist the front lines. The bit is locked in and rotating in unison with the Roto Hub, so there is no chance for line twists within the trim line tube while ensuring a clean front line flagging system using the the safety line contained in the protective PU trim line. This ensures easy front line flag outs and makes line twists easy to sort out on the water. The Roto Hub is the brains of the system, containing the front line re-ride routing and end points.
Gen 7 Punch OUT Trim loop
The stainless pin/loop release has been perfected in both freezing weather and scorching heat. Push away release effort is unchanged even under extreme loads. Release cuff clearance to the below the bar swivel ensures easy release even if the control bar is pinned up against the trim loop’s Roto Hub.
Carbon Composite Bar
The Stick Shift's carbon composite build delivers unparalleled strength while setting the new standard in lightweight bars. Shaped for comfort, the under bar U channel houses the trim line and is easily flushed of all debris, ensuring smooth and reliable trim adjustment every time. Plush molded EVA grip with integrated bar floats deliver float, superior grip, and tangle free back lines.
An added benefit of the plush EVA grip and Carbon Polymer bar is warmer on the hands than Aluminum tube bars for cold weather riding and the entire bar is built to float!
Premium Liros Flying lines
German made Liros DC 401 Ultra HD flying lines, tested to 580 kg (1275 lbs). Lower sections of front lines are Liros D-Pro.
Lines are coloured for easy rigging. Front line re-ride is orange for easy identification while resetting the system.
Pig Tails: Compatible with all 4 Line Kites
The Stick Shift ships with an assortment of premium pigtails, ensuring compatibility with all major kite brands. Each pigtail is individually marked with length, allowing you to also adjust for eventual front line stretch.
20” Heavy Duty Kite Leash and Travel Bag
A heavy duty kite leash with (1”) wide webbing with flat elastic core. Corrosion resistant stainless clip with neoprene cover. Punch out (push away) release cuff with pin and loop reset. Bar bag features a coil zip for easy access, mesh panels for quick drying, and inside pocket for pigtail storage.
